Castleford Footbridge and Mill

These images are the first of two sets developed during my 2010-11 AA2A residency at Doncaster University Centre. They are the outcomes of two visits to my grandparents' home town during which I retraced childhood steps to the River Aire and a very familiar view of the mill and weir. Not only is the newly constructed Castleford footbridge a remarkable structure, it allowed me to experience the size and power of the river from a new and much closer perspective than before.
